Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumHillary's secret army of supporters
(I'm a member in the secret FB group that this article references)
"Weve collectively rolled our eyes at the use of US Uncut as a source by Bernie supporters, and have even had some frank discussions about biased sources that support Hillary, and how and when it is appropriate to use them.
Weve talked about feminism, trans and gay issues, foreign policy including some honest and emotional discussions around Israel/Palestine and weve gently corrected one another sometimes.
Weve even started talking about getting together on a field trip to the inauguration, or maybe on a get-out-the-vote trip to a swing state for a weekend in October.
Our group started out as a place for supporting Hillary, but its turned into a lot more than that. Its a caring, vibrant community of people who look out for one other online now, who give encouragement, and keep things in perspective. We have our go-to people for bringing calm to the room when panic sets in, and weve rushed into action to help give an undecided voter at the polls a nudge toward Hillary."

(11,619 posts)Facebook was a pretty toxic place, and enthusiasm for Clinton was discouraged.
That has changed, mostly, in my neck of Facebook's woods.

(32,640 posts)Way too much squabbling on my FB page. The underground group has been a sanctuary.

(6,444 posts)Really resent that people tried to squelch our voice and enthusiasm. I think am still resentful about it.
But proud and ought to remember we won the primary and winning the general!
And we have an awesome nominee, and we prevailed. There I feel better!
