Clinton Nomination Inspires Young Girls’ Ambitions

Last edited Fri Jul 29, 2016, 09:48 PM - Edit history (1)

Whatever your political preference, no one can deny the historic impact of Hillary Clinton becoming the first woman presidential nominee for a major party.

It comes as an inspiring step forward for many women and girls.

Six-year-old Brianna Henry can relate to the story of young Hillary Clinton’s childhood dreams.

“You want to be able to plant that seed for this generation. I mean, the fact that they can see that that’s a possibility I think makes a huge difference,” Smith said.

It was great to see women finally getting the opportunity to have jobs which was traditionally only given to men in my industry. I was fortunate to get one myself, heard lots of chatter but then the males started accepting us, some continued to hold to their old beliefs. We proved we were just as capable. Hillary lived in the same era, as Joe Biden said once, this is a big effing deal.
