"There's that kind of double bind that women find themselves in. On the one hand, yes, be smart, stand up for yourself. On the other hand, don't offend anybody, don't step on toes, or you'll become somebody that nobody likes because you're too assertive."

I keep trying to let women be heard.

Are we going to do this? Yes we are. We are going to have to scratch and claw our way to the top, yet we will get there! We are GOING TO DO THIS!

Thank you Aristus.

I thought we were standing together. My mistake. When you can barely get a post out of the Hill group, a good one for unity if I say so myself then we have lost. Is that where we are? It sure as hell is not where I am.

The video opened with hundreds of photos of male presidents, which Clinton's face dutifully smashed through to the sound of shattering glass. After that she had to wait a few minutes for the audience's cheers to die down, but when they did, Clinton had a message for young girls:

What an incredible honor you have given me — I can't believe we just put the biggest crack in the glass ceiling yet ... and, if there are any little girls out there who stayed up late to watch, let me just say: I may become the first woman president, but one of you is next.
