Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumBernie Supporters~In Unity.
I would like to invite you back into the Hillary Group. I will unblock any that ask, you can PM me.
We have a lot of work to do to elect Hillary as President and we need to do this as one board and not as individual groups. The alternative of not working as one will have devastating results to all of us and future generations. We need every voice heard with your vote.
The table is set, come in and take a seat, you are all welcome if you wish to be.

(87,475 posts)they are back. They have wanted to return previously yet the post was blocked by another host. I told them I could not/ would not overturn another host.
I decided to do this. This is a kind of amnesty and I asked our lead host if it was okay. She said yes. Yet, this is not a blanket amnesty. They need to ask if they want to come back. Their decision.
All they need to do is ask. However their is a time limit on the offer.
Thanks radical.

(4,311 posts)Reminds me of eating in the south of France - there are always lots of people at a big table and the meals last for HOURS. I had to get used to it, as an American. Felt a bit fidgety the first few times! But when you get into the swing of it, it's a really nice experience.
This is a great post. I hope people take you up on it, as a step towards unity.

(87,475 posts)It really does look like the French countryside. That must have been an amazing meal or meals.
By the way, it took hours but a few of us cleaned the whole place out. We unblocked everyone.

(42,862 posts)... even though you've made the first gesture or reconciliation, you're still relying on a request from the other person, and they may view it as having to "ask permission" or "beg forgiveness". Some may feel that they did nothing wrong, that they were blocked unfairly, and may refuse to respond.
Therefore I wonder... would it be more productive to do something a-la-Skinner, and simply give a blanket amnesty by clearing out the blocked user list?
Perhaps there will be some who'd abuse the amnesty gesture, but they could easily be re-added to the blocked user list. In the meantime, you've shown goodwill and a willingness to forgive and move-on ... and it allows people to "wander-in" at their leisure and participate as their level of comfort grows (or depending on if/when their wounds have healed enough).
Anyway, it's just a thought.

Glad you and George were able to complete the task.
Our in boxes are a mess!
I saw your mail and answered, I was sure it would get lost.
Thanks for all your help.

(14,157 posts)I made a point of being respectable in that group. And that was the last thing I posted. The next thing I know, I was banned and still am without any explanation.

(3,896 posts)I've never been banned from any DU group, and it seems like this is a positive act which promotes unity among us. We're all in it together.
United, we stand. Divided, we fall.
I was a big Bernie fan. Now I'm a huuuuge Hillary fan...especially after Bernie came out and said that he was "vigorously" supporting her and that it was time to get on-board the Hillary train.
Also, sowing division where none exists is counterproductive.
