(15,684 posts)I saw Hillary there. A couple times!
It was one of the best trips I've ever been on. Almost a week in DC. (First time in DC and I fell in love with it. I would move there in a heartbeat if I could. ) The events on the weekend and then the march and rally were all wonderful. One of my daughters went with me. Family from several different states, by chance, met up with us. And the people. There were so many kind, compassionate, like minded people - all in one place, all with one purpose. And, of course, there was Hillary. She really has been standing up for us her entire adult life!
As much as I will miss President Obama (I've already cried a few times), I can't wait to call her President.

(4,309 posts)I was a Catholic in the process of getting divorced and went at the urging of my friends. I took my then 14 year old daughter with me. What an amazing experience! I was just so angry about the Iraq war and Bush policies that I decided to go to my first demonstration, mainly for my anti-war/Bush reasons. I am so glad I went! All of the people were so wonderful and I felt immediately that I belonged there. VERY proudly pro-choice ever since!
I remember Hillary speaking wonderfully and really energizing the crowd!!!
