LATAM Airlines will be expanding international connectivity within its route network with plans to reintroduce weekly service between Lima, Peru, and Havana, Cuba. The airline announced the service Tuesday, making the capital of Cuba its fifth destination in the Caribbean.
With LATAMs large presence in Lima, passengers traveling from Cuba will be able to connect to a number of destinations. In turn, the carrier seems confident that Brazilians will also enjoy the routes return leisure travel.
The first time in three years
While LATAM awaits government approval to resume the service, the airline confirmed that it is scheduled to begin on October 29th with four weekly frequencies. The route has been suspended since March 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic shuttered air travel worldwide. Aline Mafra, Director of Sales and Marketing at LATAM Brasil, emphasized the airlines international connectivity with returning service.
