The former president provided, for the first time, a detailed inventory of his global trademark empire.

Donald Trump has only done big projects in a handful of countries, but he has sought to protect his name and brand on every continent other than Antarctica. The Republican frontrunner has secured roughly 600 trademarks in 87 countries, territories and international bodies worldwide, including both U.S. allies and adversaries, according to a financial disclosure report released Thursday.

The country with the most registered trademarks is not the one he led for four years but one he constantly attacks, China. Trump and his companies hold 119 trademarks in mainland China — plus 21 more in Hong Kong and Macau, both China-controlled — compared to 56 in the U.S. and its territories.

After the world’s two largest superpowers, Trump holds the most trademarks in the United Kingdom (33), United Arab Emirates (31), Canada (19), Turkey (18), the European Union (17), Panama (16), the Dominican Republic (13) and Indonesia (12).

Trump’s intellectual property portfolio reaches into virtually every region in which the United States has significant geopolitical interests. He has 10 trademarks in South Korea, whose bellicose northern neighbor just reportedly launched another intercontinental ballistic missile into the Sea of Japan. He has six trademarks in Russia, a nation currently waging a bloody war against Ukraine — where Trump has another three. He has trademarks in heavily sanctioned rivals like Cuba, Iran and Venezuela. And he has three in Taiwan, which may need U.S. aid in the event of an invasion by mainland China — where, again, Trump has more trademarks than any other country on Earth.

Trademarks for what? What does his companies make? Or is it just his name? sinkingfeeling Jul 2023 #1
Amazing isn't it? The orange blob turned slapping his gold-plated name on things, into a cash cow. peppertree Jul 2023 #2

Or did.

These days, he mostly lives off his check-writing mouth breathers.
