WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, today sent a letter to various colleagues in the House of Representatives vehemently opposing their calls for the Biden administration to reverse sanctions policies on Cuba and Venezuela. While sharing their concerns regarding the need to dramatically expand efforts to address factors forcing vulnerable populations to flee their homelands, Chairman Menendez rejected his colleagues’ assessment that U.S. sanctions policies are the leading contributors to this crisis, and called for a comprehensive approach to manage migration and refugee flows in the Western Hemisphere.

so critically with this unbearable monstrous economic war so severely they would overthrow their own revolution and beg for their worst enemies to return and abuse them up close all over again.

Doesn't make any sense at all to anyone who bothers to learn more about it. It puts the people of these countries in an impossible position.

Ask Menendez why Carlos Andres Perez turned his police and military in crowds of Venezuelans who poured into the streets USto protest his shocking price increases which made the cost of heating oil and fuel to drive to work too costly for the masses to afford. Ask Menendez why he sent tanks into poor neighborhoods to mow down protesters, why they opened a mass grave and plowed bodies into it and buried so many Venezuelan people, etc., etc., etc., and George H W Bush still supported him and he left Venezuela and his wife and family and moved to Miami to live in his mistress' condo until he died, then the mistress and wife fought publicly about who got to bury his body, etc., etc., etc.

Cuba? Why do so few ordinary "Americans" understand why Cuban "exiles" have been travelling back and forth to Cuba for years and years, and yet ordinary "Americans" are forbidden to go by US law?

Latin America has been suffering under the boot of foreign interests from the first, with only the dirtiest and cruelest sadistic, racist, treacherous European-descended people seizing power and selling their natural resources and cheap labor to US interests, and getting wealthy and protected politically and militarily for their abuse of their poor masses.

Filthy fools like Menendez have used US American ignorance as their invitation to load their lies and preposterous propaganda down their throats in place of anything approaching the truth about Latin America and the people.

Menendez isn't even slightly Democratic, or he would never support the embargo, travel ban, and all those pathetic lies for all these years. He is absolutely no different from the racist, classist, corrupt, and rabid right-wing radical Cubans of the first wave who stormed into Florida and New Jersey, expecting the US to overthrow the revolution and put them right back in power. Deadly, greedy, dishonest monsters.

Who does Menendez believe is going to listen to him now, him and Rep. Santos?
