One of the great musicologists is dead - funeral tribute

Garth White was the very first Rastafarian graduate at the university of the West Indies. He attended Jamaica College and represented his school at the highest level in both hurdles and football.
Few knew the history of Jamaican music like GWhite as we called him.

I post these for the tributes to show how connected we are to the culture.
By the way two of them were from his classmates and both are former Prime Ministers of Jamaica. Jerry Small is a font of knowledge
