He still has his dry sense of humor!

If the next secretary of state, Sen. John Kerry, is anything like the current one, he can expect to rack up some major frequent-flier miles. Which means he’ll need to master the art of avoiding jet lag.
Kerry offers his tips in the latest issue of Men’s Health magazine.

“I can’t say my past experiments with jet lag remedies have been very scientific,” said Kerry. “When I’m flying, I usually take an Ambien and listen to one of my own speeches on my iPod. I’m out in seconds. But it doesn’t always work, and sometimes you’ll have some funny moments from being overtired. There was an incident in New Orleans, at Mardi Gras, in 1997. But the video has been destroyed and I gave the beads back.”

Here's a link to the Men's Health article - http://www.mensjournal.com/health-fitness/health/how-to-beat-jet-lag-forget-about-it-john-kerry-20130108#ixzz2HU5X2cOE but Politico quoted the entire thing.

Sounds like he has a pretty good sense of humor and is self deprecating.

Possibly because much of the media was not really behind him or just that it was complicated to thgem that someone could have a great sense of humor -- but was also intensely serious about serious things.

It made for good TV ratings. I understand why the media didn't really play the story of G W Bush's being AWOL and his cocaine addiction because they are totally owned by people like Murdoch.

I woke up to find my husband in the kitchen groping at a slice of lemon the one time he took one. He says he has no recollection of doing this.

Jon Keller says the joke was good, then says that Kerry has been boring all his life. (Coming from Keller who is incredibly boring, that may be a compliment).

I bet he wishes he would have not wasted his life getting silver and bronze stars, amazing the country with his eloquence in 1971 changing the country's opinion on the Vietnam War, then his major Senate investigations, legislation and committee work - and being his party's nominee for President in race when Keller's preferred candidate had to suppress the vote to win.

He could, after all, have been a RW talk show personality.

The fact is that someone as boring as Keller thinks Kerry is would not have gotten the time of day from Teresa Heinz.
