OT: To the Kerrycrat(s) who donated the Valentine's Hearts:

You're a sweetheart and made my snowy night

I'm glad you guys are here and it's great that we're still an active group. It's been an amazing ride and it was, and will be, a joy to be on that ride with such an awesome group of (mostly) women! As long as John Kerry draws breath, he will do things worth talking about, so we might as well hang in there, right?

for the sweet heart donated to me this evening? If it is, and whomever it is, I thank you. I want to buy some but I have to wait until the check in the mail gets here... hopefully before the 14th!

And to Blaukraut, I hope you are warm, safe and cozy all through this event! And thanks for the OP, I didn't know who to thank or even where to say it!

I love the way you put it, Blaukraut! And I agree. I know I feel like I'm still studying at the JK Academy. I've been having a great time learning more about the State Department over the last week. My favorite thing was during his speech after the public swearing-in when he kept peering up at the ceiling and I was wondering why. Later, he revealed that he was looking up at the Great Seal. How can anyone not be obsessed with a guy who's so obsessed with the very idea of our great democracy, not to mention determined to protect and save it?

Thank you for my hearts -- you all warm mine every day when I stop by here to see the latest, but this time of year is special at DU.

I am very excited knowing he is our new SOS, and being able to follow his journeys.

Always a pleasure to hang around these virtual parts, and I am still not completely over the sequence of bad luck that prevented me to meet some of you 2 years ago (not to mention see Kerry as well...)

It was a nice surprise to see when I logged in today!

I heartily agree with all you said. It has been an amazing journey and one that restored my believe that a person could remain uncorrupted in politics. Though not electoral politics, following what JK does now should be as interesting as the rest of his well lived life. It is also so fantastic that in following this group I have met so many incredible people. Hard to believe that this group has remained one of the strongest DU groups since the beginning of 2005 - as other groups emerged and then lapsed. Part of that is because JK is who he is, but part of it is that we have become a group of friends interested in each other's reactions.
