This afternoon’s attack is deeply personal to all of us who call that city our home. For any father who has cheered on a daughter as she made her way up ‘Heartbreak Hill,’ or fired the starting gun at the wheelchair race, today’s attack was an assault on who we are in Massachusetts on a Patriot’s Day that honors where we came from. 1. Good statement.

I just read on Twitter that it took them 2 years to figure out it was Eric Rudolph who planted the bomb in Atlanta in '96. So, apart from honoring the victims, this news story is going to peter out until we know more. I avoid TV news like the plague. I looked for a few minutes yesterday and was turned off by all cable networks. Just utter crap. Newspapers do a much better job, even though there have been quite a few errors that had to be corrected (to be fair, I think officials have made mistakes as well).
