JK oped on Visas for Afghan interpreters in danger when we leave

This is a very strong oped that makes the case for being careful not to leave people who risked their lives for us behind.

This also is something that backs up how real the transition to leaving Afghanistan is. The likelihood is that the US will help Afghanistan's government reconcile with some elements of the Taliban - something the US tried to do last summer until Kharzi blew up any Qatar based negotiations.

than those people staying behind can bee seen as "traitors" and put in high risk. I met one of those, in Paris. He was an asylum seeker. I wrote his story to file to asylmum office. I tried to be as complete as possible. The answer? Asylum denied!!! But luckily, he reopened a new seeking, and this time he was granted refugee.
