On August 26, Ben, Kerry's dog tweeted that it was National Dog day

and posted a picture of himself and Kerry. (I think that was when Kerry was in Nantucket) I never even knew their was a national dog day.

The strange thing about that typo was that it being the 26th was something cool for me as it was the birthday of the dog we had when the kids were growing up - that they insisted we celebrate.

The bright sun, the New England summer scene. I wonder whether it was early in the visit since JK is clearly not in vacation clothes. I keep up with the State Department photos that show the hard, grinding travel and negotiation and thoughtful diplomacy our SoS puts in most all year and I've seen the rotten BoHe chasing him whenever he has a few days off. It's so GOOD to see him absolutely relaxed for a change. He has more than earned it.

Also, I had no idea Ben the Dog was going to get so enormous. He's very much his master's match!

the dog didn't belong to him back then but he went straight to Kerry .
