John Kerry

A beautiful moment, a genuine moment, and Rachel Maddow explains exactly why.
Sweet revenge for everything that the reactionary cardinal Burke did to John Kerry in 2004. (And yuck , Burke has a truly creepy voice- I've loathed him since 2004, and his voice just fits his moral creepiness)

(154,638 posts)I am glad that John Kerry was singled out by the Pope
and Rachel did a good job of bringing out the connections, in both space and time, between a lot of events that most people (where they remembered them at all) would probably think of as separate topics.
And, yeah, that was a great (and genuine) moment between Sec. Kerry and the Pope.
Followed, I should add, by another moment at the Pope's departure from DC:see their extended, warm conversation at the plane (look at about 40-43 minutes into the video).
Would love to know what they talked about, and also what Teresa Kerry had to say (Kerry introduces the pope to his wife in this same segment)

It was good to see Teresa there and see that she looked so well. 😄
