It's SOOO important -- vital to the survival of life on our planet (INCLUDING OURS: are you listening, Santorum?) , but we can't get anyone to act. Year after year, this goes on.
Meanwhile, there's breathless 24/7 coverage of minutiae the stunningly fact-free Republican Primary Follies (breaking news! Romney wins Guam!), sexual tastes of politicians here and abroad, the latest celebrity follies. .
Utter madness. And a depressing symptom of how adrift we are . The title for the book on AIDS, "And the Band Played On", seems so apt here.
THANK YOU, Sen. Kerry.
