Democratic Table at the County Fair
It's July and the temperature is 105* in the shade. Every year at this time the Mills County Democrats man a table at the County Fair. This is a RED county by 3 to 1 - going back as far as I can remember. In spite of the futility of changing the outcome of the election and never to be outdone by Republicans, every July true Democrats from Mills County will man a table in the machine shed on the Fairgrounds. A core group of about 12 die-hard Dems take turns sitting at the table in the metal shed collecting guesses for the number of candies in the jar. During the July's inferno weather these hardy people hand out fliers for the candidates. Here's a picture of the booth - the posters fell off the metal wall because of the heat and had to be held up with magnets and hand stapled to the back board. Here's what it looked like. Not too bad for fly by night amateurs, do you think?

Here is a picture of three of our group just doing our small bit to get out the vote for Obama and Boswell. I'm the one in the middle. Wish I had a pic of the whole bunch of KegCreekDems- maybe later.
