Class Action Law Suit, Could Net You Money..Orlando Sentinal..(about calls for free cruises, a con)

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/travel/florida-cruise-guide/os-free-cruise-call-class-action-lawsuit-20170818-story.html

A federal class-action lawsuit against a travel service company that worked for three big cruise line companies could potentially mean money if your phone number is part of the lawsuit’s database.

The lawsuit is Charvat v. Resort Marketing Group et al., Case No. 1:12cv05746 in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois.

Among the et al is Royal Caribbean Cruises, LTD, Carnival Corporation & PLC and NCL (Bahamas) LTD. Those three cruise lines employed the Aurora, Illinois-based Resort Marketing Group to attempt to fill cabins on the three companies’ various cruise ships, according to the lawsuit.

In the lawsuit, the plaintiff, Philip Charvat of Ohio, states he received a call in 2012 that said he had won a cruise because he had filled out a form. He suspected the call to have the result of a machine-dialed form of telemarketing, which is "an impermissible advertising campaign for their services, including the making of prerecorded/artificial message telephone calls."
