The Association of Professional Flight Attendants Welcomes Deirdre Hamilton to the National Mediatio
(Euless, TX) - The Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA), representing the 24,000 Flight Attendants of American Airlines, welcomed Deirdre Hamilton to the National Mediation Board this week.
Deidre Hamilton started her career as a legal fellow for the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and followed by senior staff attorney for the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA. For the past six years, Ms. Hamilton served as staff attorney for the Airline Division at the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
Ms. Hamiltons experience in representing workers in aviation is a major gain for labor, said APFA National President Julie Hedrick. We have full confidence that she will fairly resolve labor disputes in the air and rail industries.
The National Mediation Board facilitates labor-management relations within the nations railroad and airline industries. The boards major responsibilities include mediation of disputes over wages, hours, and working conditions.
