Starbucks announces closure of Portland store that voted to unionize

PORTLAND (WGME) – A Starbucks in busy downtown Portland, that just voted to unionize, is closing.

Starbucks officials say they are closing the location at the intersection of Exchange and Middle Streets, right in the heart of the Old Port.

Starbucks says it reviewed whether the store was thriving, the workers felt supported and whether customer needs were met.

Workers at that store just voted to unionize less than a month ago.

Starbucks cited crime on the Circle downtown. However the store was unionizing and probably would have succeeded.

Other things on the Circle in Indy Not closing:
Indpls Power and Light Headquarters
Circle Theater, home of the Symphony
Columbia Club, home of GOP money and good ol boys
Anthem Insurance Offices.

But now due to the widespread false reason of "crime" people are just parroting that "Crme on the circle is terrible, Starbucks closed!"
