BREAKING: Our Red Cup Rebellion, where more than 5,000 Starbucks workers went on strike, has already landed a major victory - the ability for workers to pause mobile orders during especially busy rushes.
Theres no doubt this is a response to our organizing. Help us spread the word on social media!
The ability to help workers manage huge rushes were not staffed for (such as promo days) is something our union has been calling for since the very beginning. Thanks to the actions we all took on Red Cup Rebellion, this shows we have the power to change our workplace for the better. Direct action gets the goods!
That said, we still have more to fight for. Mobile order pauses dont fix the root of the problem were simply not being staffed enough. One of our core demands is for adequate staffing and an end to short-staffed shifts on promo days. We can only be guaranteed this in a union contract.
When we fight, we win. Weve seen it happen time and time again. But were not looking for Starbucks to give us one-off concessions. We're not asking. We're not begging. It's time for Starbucks to come to the table.
NOW is the time to start organizing your store. If youre a Starbucks partner, or know someone who works at Starbucks, click here to get in touch with our union and start organizing your workplace.
See you there,
