Yesterday was national Fuck Ronald Reagan Day

Air Traffic Controller here. August 3rd 1981, Reagan fired over 11,000 of my union brothers and sisters for daring to ask for higher pay and better working conditions.

It will NEVER be "Union Busting Scumbag National Airport". ALWAYS "National" or "DCA".

The national convention was supposed to be in Hawaii. Because of the mass firings, they switched the convention to Chicago, so attendees could take alternate transportation. Solidarity!

I made the mistake of voting for him the first time. I was 19, and had just joined the military. He rewarded us with a small pay raise (nice for the short-term), but turned right around and stabbed us all in the back by gutty the GI Bill benefits the next year (the only thing I get now is VA-backed home loan; no healthcare, no college tuition, nothing).

In addition to all the awful things he did to the economy (massive tax breaks for the rich, Uncle Miltie's "greed is good", etc.), he really fuked us vets who were "keeping the system greased" during the Cold War.

May that bastard burn in hell...

(nah, I ain't bitter)
