Both of us have Delta Dental insurance on the same policy

but with different dentists. One of mine is a periodontist.

We saw our respective dentists last month and my claim, even though was higher, was paid in full (with adjustments, of course) while spouse's has a copay for some procedures, including tax.

Why, I asked the helpful representative. Because mine is a PPO dentist while spouse's is a Premier dentist and PPOs, apparently, are treated differently.

Worth knowing, I suppose, if one can help it.
