I'd like PBS to devote a two hour segment to a panel on the journalistic ethics of taking grant money ( Gates, etc) and then reporting on Ed issues as though the money producing the show doesn't affect the quality, fairness and accuracy of the reportage.

I know they give the perfunctory disclaimer at the beginning of the show. But there are usually multiple sponsors and most viewers don't know enough about the connection of Gates to ed policy, or are distracted. So they are unaware that if Gates, for instance ,paid for it, the program is likely to promote a particular Gatesian POV.
