Homeschooling
Related: About this forumHosting
This group doesn't get that much traffic anymore (shame that) but I'd like for it to be here for any newbie hs'ers of the liberal persuasion who are looking for advice and support.
According to the rules, this GROUP - not forum- is for those who SUPPORT homeschooling. Recently, there have been some posts that don't meet that requirement. Quite a bit less than that, I would say. While an open and fair discussion of hs'ing without rancor is welcome, insulting hs'er and their choice to do so, should not be tolerated.
Evidently ONLY a host can ban a person from a group. And evidently some jurors don't understand the distinction between a group and forum (nor like hs'ing) so they won't block a post even after several alerts.
Therefore, I would like to be considered as host of this group. (Now let's hope enough of you check in to vote.)

If you want a co-host, I'll be happy to assist, but I support your desire to host in any event.

(16,232 posts)I'm not always on. And even though we don't have a lot of posters, I want to make sure those who want or need support or information will find it here.
I'm not really sure how all this works, but my experience this past week made me realize we needed someone to intervene if need be. I'm not talking suppression of honest dialogue, it's not like I'm a nazi or anything . . .
If you know how it works, tell me, and if I find out, I'll tell you. How's that?
