Related: About this forumPUBLIC TRUST, the movie...
I found this posted in a thread and thought it should have its own thread. Though this movie is from four years ago, it's good to remind everyone what will become of our public lands and national parks should agent orange return.

(21,320 posts)i dont believe 1 out of a 100 people realize what is at stake in our country. In our world.
it makes my soul cry and scream. we are on the verge of a nightmare of unimaginable proportions. It will make 1984 seem like a vacation.
To the elites there is nothing sacred, nothing worth saving
and we are all, every one of us, vile and disposable creatures to them
every human, every bird, every fish
there is no sacred thing nor no one that is worth saving if it would prevent 10 cents from dripping into their coffers. It is an evil beyond belief.
I am an atheist
but i realize i have been gifted the most beautiful and magical world than i could have imagined even if I were god.
May we be saved.

I know whats at stake. I want to protect it for me

(24,023 posts)Youre right. I often wonder
If it isnt in our blood here in Montana, that we mind our own business, and we assume other people will do the same. It seems we might also believe that people will do the right thing for the good of the order, and certainly for the good of the resource that we all share. And, in the end, these beliefs have been identified and are actively being exploited by the fascists. Just a thought.

(92,705 posts)Until recently, when all of that could easily be true. In the past 15 years, things have changed for the worse here.
Most of those who are of a mind to trash our natural resources aren't from the places they attack. Their intent is exactly as described in the film.
Can't wait to vote, ballots were mailed Friday so any day this week they should arrive.

(92,705 posts)Friendly visit to the registrar a month ahead of time to make sure, I know the workers there so I make it a social call.
Ballots were mailed out on Friday so I'm hoping mine will show up by Wednesday. My buddy, used to be my neighbor and best friend in touristown but he's over in the Big Hole area now, are going to vote together over the phone.
Maybe that can become a thing for some folks, voting parties. I know a few people who vote together with their mail ballots. Hell, 2/3 of Montana votes by mail. I will hand deliver mine, though.
I walk my ballot into the voting HQ in Missoula. I track it after I vote to make sure it was counted. SOS Christy Jacobsen's office can't be trusted. We have to watch her like a hawk.
