Saudi Arabia Launches First Hydrogen-Powered Bus Test Run in Al-Ahsa, Inaugurated by Prince Saud Bin Talal

His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, Governor of Al-Ahsa launched today, Thursday, the trial of the first hydrogen-powered bus in the Kingdom, which is characterized by its ability to travel up to 635 kilometers on a single charge and accommodates 45 passengers.
The bus, which
can travel up to 635 kilometers on a single charge and seats 45 passengers, is set to operate between Dammam and Al-Ahsa Governorate. Covering a daily route of 359 kilometers, it is part of the intercity transportation services managed by SAT Company in the Southern Concession Area. The inauguration was attended by His Excellency Dr. Rumaih bin Mohammed Al-Rumaih, Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistics Services and Acting Chairman of the General Transport Authority, alongside other dignitaries.
During the launch, an introductory video was showcased, detailing the workings of hydrogen buses, their fueling processes, safety standards, and their role in cutting carbon emissions. Following this, Prince Saud and the officials took a tour in the new bus, demonstrating its capabilities firsthand.
