Where do you buy alkaline batteries size "D" that are reasonably priced. Here, the prices
seem to be going through the roof, like about $7 for two size "D" batteries.

(67,112 posts)3. Wow!!! Thanks again!!! I just looked at Amazon, really reasonably priced. I have no
idea why I didn't check there on my own. I get many things from Amazon. Thanks for heading me in that direction. I need a bunch for emergency lighting here and the local stores would have been way toooooo expensive.

(146,218 posts)4. I have been using them for lots and lots of things these days, as I am
generally in an area where I can't get much.
I paid for the Prime (or whatever it is called) and the shipping savings have paid for it already.
I know it's not the most PC company around but I am so happy to be able to get what I need and get it quickly.
