Justified US military interventions since WWII?

A particular DU TV personality once claimed in a thread to support only those post-WWII uses of US military that are justified, but didn't support the uses that weren't justified. I asked which were which. Although I received no response, I believe it is a quality question to pose not just to one, but to all, hence the OP.

There have been many involvements of not only official US military, but also para-military as well (CIA financed militias and private contractors).

There has been no Constitutionally (Congressional) declared war since 1945 (poverty, drugs, terror and Christmas notwithstanding) so tell me DU - which uses of military force since WWII were justified, and which weren't?

On edit: Not intended for Peak Oil Group. Not sure how it ended up here.
