7. Folks get fooled by surface water....an ocean 4 miles deep is barely a scratch in the surface, and

lakes 200 feet deep are ponds. The amount of potable, useable fresh water is frighteningly small.

Same with the thickness of the atmosphere and the amount of breathable air....the atmosphere as viewed from space as a whole is barely a wisp.

any time vegetarianism or veganism is brought up in GD.

I need to remember the next time I see such a thread to point out to those steak-lovers that their meat is either flavorless or mostly so. It has to be marinated, basted, sauced, and or otherwise processed to make it flavorful. And the majority of those added flavors come from plants (and sometimes fungus.)

14. Been there. People are adamant about MEAT.

They just gotta have that dead flesh on their plate.

FWIW, I never EVER say anything like that to carnivores because no one likes to be told how to eat and snark might actually provoke them & move them in the wrong direction.

Be as positive as you can and then let it go. At some point you will probably get at least one person to give up one serving of meat, and it's worth it for the one life that could be saved. IMHO.
