Puppy Stabbed Nearly to Death Deserves Justice
Rowan County, North Carolina
A puppy was allegedly stabbed many times by a man with a hunting knife.
We need to take action to ensure that this man is given a harsh sentence if he is found guilty of this thoughtless and violent act.
Neighbors said the man was house-sitting for a couple, who likely gave the homeless man the job to be nice.
One neighbor said she called the police after she witnessed the man stab the puppy multiple times while the pup was yelping.
According to authorities, the man used an eight-inch hunting knife to commit the act.
Phillip John Shoemaker reportedly told police he stabbed the puppy after it bit him.
However, if this had been the case, he could have just walked or run away from the pup.
Although the puppy was able to get away and did receive treatment, it's not known if he will survive
The man has also been accused by neighbors of hurting other pets.
Urge the Rowan County District Attorney to prosecute the man to the fullest extent of the law if he's found guilty of this senseless crime.
