If calories are equal, high carbohydrate diets are more dangerous than high fat diets.

And "eat lots of fruit" with caution. Many fruits are high in sugar.

Hundreds of studies have concluded the exact opposite.
If you want, I'll cite the studies so you can follow them up for yourself.

High fat diets are deadly. High fat damages every organ in the body, especially arteries and the insulin receptors.
High fat diet alone is enough to bring on type two diabetes, and a low fat diet can cure it.

This doctor explains the root cause of diabetes:

The dangerous thing is that a high fat diet masks the symptoms of diabetes while making the cause worse, so diabetics on high fat diets think they are getting better while they are actually getting worse.

The only difference is that physicians tend to be much more arrogant in defending their mistaken beliefs.

Facts are facts.

Dr Hyman's books are included in the Physician's Committee for Responsible Medicine list of "Five Diet Books That Are Worse Than Coal in Your Stocking".

Doctor John McDougall says: ( https://www.drmcdougall.com/misc/2014nl/apr/clintons.htm )

Mark Hyman, MD is another low-carb diet promoter in line with the authors of the Atkins Diet, Wheat Belly and Grain Brain. Dr. Hyman states, according to the New York Times, that, "It's hard being a vegan to eat enough good, quality protein and not have too much starch." He believes that saturated fat (meat, dairy, and eggs) is good for people, and he uses the one commonly cited, dairy industry-funded study to support his viewpoint. (See my March 2014newsletter on "Dr. Lard." ) Mark Hyman, MD is without traditional medical credibility and is a "supplement hawker."

Lots of fish and my red meat is lamb and goat.

Not for health reasons, because I like it.
