However, I found a fake chicken by Vegetarian Plus down at the co-op that FREAKS ME OUT its so good.

I love being a vegan in this era. Fake meat quality is exploding. It's wonderful. I don't miss the real thing at all.

A "Wheat Meat - Chicken" that was purchased by White Wave who then sold it off to someone else. Paul and I were heartbroken when they did this because it was the best meat substitute we'd ever had. It worked so well in pot pies and for bbq.

Their chicken was great and the "fish fillets with crispy bean curd skin" was unbelievably realistic (granted, it's been over 20 years since I've had real fish, but man).

If you're in the area, it's worth going to. I plan to go back to Atlanta just to go there.

When I was married, my omnivore wife said she couldn't tell the difference between what they served and real meat

Yes, we do have vegetarian-only restaurants in Houston, Texas I've been told by people that eat fish-based sushi that they love the fake kind served there, too.

This one is called The Pepper Tree.
