LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The brutal beating of a puppy found in Boulder City last month happened across state lines in Arizona, according to the Boulder City Police Department which has been investigating this case for a few weeks.
The 10-week-old abandoned and injured puppy was discovered in an alleyway on August 19.
Police say the Rottweiler-mix named Seven by animal control employees, was immediately taken to the Boulder City Animal Hospital to be treated for a dislocated jaw, bulging eye, facial damage and missing teeth.
Within the past few weeks, police said Seven has undergone two surgeries, including removing his damaged eye and being on a feeding tube which he will remain on for up to six more weeks.
Police determined the felony abuse case happened in Mohave County, Arizona, and it's now being investigated by the police force there.
Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact Mohave County Sheriff's Office at (928) 753-0753

Instead of chasing balls and playing tug of war, Seven has been recovering from multiple surgeries and the pain of being brutally beaten.
No animal should go through the violent trauma that he has already had to overcome in his short life.
"The level of abuse this puppy received at the hands of a human is shocking to the conscious," Boulder City Police Department Detective Sergeant Tiffany Driscoll told FOX 5.
"We hope someone will come forward with any information regarding the puppy's caretakers, origins, or anything which could lead to an arrest and prosecution in this case."
