G7 Leaders Agree To Major Deal To Support Ukraine: Report
Today, according to latest reports, top G7 leaders agreed to provide Ukraine with more than $50 billion in aid using frozen Russian assets. This aid will arrive in Kyiv by the end of this year, allowing Ukrainians to receive critical resources needed to defend itself and rebuild parts of the war-torn country, following Russia's illegal invasion in 2022.
Despite two years passing since the illegal invasion, Ukraine still faces attacks from Russia almost daily, with the Russian army attempting to make gains toward Ukraine's second largest town in the northeast, Kharkiv.
In recent days, there was significant reporting that the United States was pushing for a deal on this $50 billion package that would come in the form of a loan from the G7 nations to Ukraine.
The exact details of the package remain unknown at this time, but, according to reports, the White House views this as a way to assist Ukraine without any more roadblocks as Russia continues to increase its attacks on the country.
