Israeli soccer fans attacked in Amsterdam, in what Dutch authorities call antisemitic incidents

Israeli soccer fans were beaten and injured in violent clashes in Amsterdam overnight, which the Dutch government condemned Friday as antisemitic attacks on Israeli citizens.

Dutch police said they had launched a major investigation into multiple violent incidents following the Europa League soccer game Thursday night between Israel’s Maccabi Tel Aviv and Dutch side Ajax. Police said that so far, “five people have been taken to the hospital and 62 individuals have been arrested.”

Hundreds of Maccabi fans “were ambushed and attacked in Amsterdam,” the Israeli embassy to the United States said on social media platform X. At least 10 Israeli citizens were injured, according to Israel’s foreign ministry.
Social media video shared by the Israeli embassy showed what it said was violence against Maccabi fans. One video shows a man being kicked while he lies on the ground, while another video shows a man being hit by a man yelling “free Palestine” and “for the children, motherf***er.” CNN has not yet been able to verify those videos.

1. Isn't this the same Maccabi Tel Aviv that has supporters that yell racist chants against arab players on their own team?

I wouldn't feel to sorry for them since that team's supporters are a bunch of racists who have a history of instigating violence, even against supporters of other Israeli clubs such as Maccabi Haifa. So don't lump these bunch of right-wing hooligans with the rest of Israel.

With perpetrators intentionally inflicting serious physical damage on the victims.

I didn't post this to solicit sympathy, yours or anyone else's. I posted it as an example of rampant antisemitism getting out of control in a European capital. If you choose to disregard this and excuse this attack with whatever sentiments you prefer to prioritize, that's your problem. I am certainly not lumping anyone with anyone else.

5. Are you saying you know the identities and party affiliation of all the victims?

And you are saying you know who they come crying to? And even if you are, are you saying that it is OK to plan an organized violent ambush against hooligans who offended you?

Then you are saying that a couple of hundred Dutch white supremacists beating the shit out of the 'locals" tomorrow is just fine with you, right? Because... fighting back!
