He's striking me more and more as a self-loather.

Don't forget how badly Sander under-performed in New York (and how he had to suspend his Jewish outreach director).

but more important than just the Jewish votes in these states, there is the issue of making it uncomfortable for large number of Jews who have been a highly loyal and active part of the party.
