tho the views of the American people will; an American people where both Hillary leads Trump (as of now) but Israel beats the Palestinians in a landslide far bigger than anyone in US history (aside from Monroe's 1820 uncontested election):

Those numbers are influenced by religion. As I'm sure you know many Republicans are Evangelicals and they support Israel because they want to bring about Bible Prophecies they believe in. You don't have that issue in other geopolitical situations so trying to use this survey in a secular and political context is misleading.

I have seen surveys that say the U.S. should withhold foreign aid to Israel if they continue settlement activity in the West Bank. A majority of Americans support this.

http://www.pewforum.org/religious-landscape-study/ and only a 3rd of Republicans are both "conservative and highly religious" http://www.gallup.com/opinion/polling-matters/182210/highly-religious-conservative-republicans.aspx

so clearly, the American people's support for Israel goes far, far, far beyond them.

and in being asked to take sides in this battle, it's very obvious where their sympathies lie. Time for you to just suck it up and stop the right wing trumpian habit of trying to unskew the polls.

While there are more than twice as many Israel-supporters than there are supporters of the Palestinians among Democrats, the numbers suggest that the Democratic Party should adopt a stance that supports both Palestinians and Israelis. The current party platform seems to favor Israel more at the expense of the Palestinians, which may be a strategic mistake in the long run. Voters generally don't like seeing politicians being out of tune with their voter base.

Democrats sympathize with the Israeli's. Looks like Democrats ARE representing their constituents.

who understand the situation and sympathize with the Israeli's who have to put up with a thoroughly corrupt abbas and the terrorist hamas right in their midst. Damn them for sympathizing with Israel having to put up with terrorism every single day. Damn them for knowing the history of the Palestinians never choosing peace over violence when they could have had their own state in 1947 and several times since.
