Why does nobody in this sub-forum want to answer my questions?

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Lithos (a host of the Israel/Palestine group).

I'm asking this question in this sub-forum for the third time now within a year. Because I either get no answer or evasive non-answers.

Question 1:
Extrapolating from current policies and current political decisions, what will Israel be like 20, 50, 100 years from now? What is a possible timeline of events?
I'm wondering what the relationship between the Jews and the Palestinians will be 20, 50, 100 years from now, if current policies of the israeli and palestinian governments and current social/demographic trends are continued.

Question 2:
Please write a fictious school-/history-book entry. What will the israeli children 50 years from now be taught about this era of Israel?




I am asking this question for the third time now because nobody wants to answer it.

The only answer I have ever gotten was: "There will be peace!!!" - "And which events have lead to this peace?" - *crickets*

5. And that is why nobody with political/historical knowledge of Israel is willing to speculate?

If the current situation continues, will there be a One-State-Solution? A Two-State-Solution? Open-ended military occupation of the Westbank forever? What happens if the BDS-movement gets stronger? What are current demographic and social trends in Israel and what will the israeli society be 20, 50, 100 years from now? Will the palestinian refugees in Lebanon ever return? What are young Israelis thinking?

Why is nobody even taking a guess???

3. I'll give question 2 a shot.

50 years ago people believed fictitious things, such as countries, laws, and authority, were real and would kill each other over these asinine myths. These violent morons were part of the reason alcohol sold so well.

I know I'm being overly optimistic.

4. I hate to quote George Bush but this is a time when it's appropriate.

He was asked about his role in Iraq, but in his own stupid way, he said something that was essentially honest, if simple:

"History, we don't know. We'll all be dead..." or words to that effect.

The truth is, no one knows. No one can predict--all it takes is a great (or lousy) leader to change the course of history.

Post WW2 there was a cadre of people who wanted to put the State of Israel smack-dab in the middle of .... GERMANY.

I imagine life would be very different for a lot of people had that proposal been adopted.

Right, I don't know either. This is nonsense but I'll give it a shot. America will be like the Hunger Games in 100 years. PanAm. How's that for fiction? There's just no way to know.
