After watching the history, it's obvious the current situation is a tired old rerun from his "stay in power" playbook.
It's time for it to stop.

He is bringing about widespread devastation and I doubt he gives a shit.

(21,817 posts)Now I see it's not just Hamas who benefits.
And I seem to recall reading that Netanyahu had moved most of Israels security force away from the Gaza border.
To wit -
"In the early hours of Saturday, October 7, Israelis living near the border with Gaza awoke to the sounds of Hamas fighters killing and kidnapping their neighbors. As the hours stretched on and they hid, terrified, their frantic text messages contained versions of this question: where is the army?
To answer that question, we need to travel to the West Bank.
Watch the video above to better understand how Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahus obsessive focus on the West Bank has left Israelis everywhere vulnerable."

It's worth a trip to YouTube to watch this.

That's what Netanyahu said he was going to do like 3 times this situation repeated itself.

(18,904 posts)Keep in mind Israel has only been at this less than a month. Heck Ukraine is over a year. Be patient with Israel and youll see results. Already they killed top humas personnel. Hopefully more to come. Its a must they rid themselves of Hamas. Its important for the world.

(21,817 posts)You can't do it by exterminating the most densely populated city in the world.
Eliminate Netanyahu's power, eliminate Hamas support, then it becomes a lot simpler.

People on both sides who think they can slaughter their way to some sort of victory are the problem. They always are, all over the planet.
I'm watching Israel squander the good will it once had by overkill. That's the larger tragedy here.

(21,817 posts)Global condemnation due to overkill is EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED THE LAST 3 TIMES.
It is Netanyahu.

Netanyahu flattens Gaza.
Hamas stays in power
Netanyahu gets reelected.

(26,455 posts)It has words, it has commentary - it is not very deep. This is a distribution of Secret Wars put out by Sky History - which is the UK's branding of the History Channel. It is meant as entertainment, not history.
As for the OP's comment about this is an attempt by Netanyahu to stay relevant - the same is said about Hamas who was about to lose a lot of relevancy with the Israeli-Saudi peace treaty. Both of them are extreme RW Nationalists and both follow the playbook.

(26,455 posts)Do you think you can accurately condense and communicate 100+ years of history down into 45 minutes, and do so without losing significant information - especially when your goal is entertainment first, historical correctness secondary and without creating a bias?
