TEL AVIV — Hamas spent more than a year planning its historic assault on Israel, following battle plans built on open-source materials and high-level intelligence, Israeli intelligence officers told a small group of journalists this week.

The sophistication of the attack, and the growing evidence of long-term, strategic planning by Hamas, sheds new light on the reach of the group’s intelligence apparatus and the complacency of Israel’s vaunted security state.

has to be fully explored because such holes must be patched if they are present in sober and through fashion.

Unfortunately and disgustingly some will rush to pin the tail on the Jews and of course blame Israel for being massacred but that doesn't change the need to find any fail points.

The possibility is real as the fish rots from the head and Netanyahu has grown too overconfident and has avarice for his own power.
This comes out in the wash as him being corrupt and incompetent that always comes with that package regardless of any ideological considerations (which are many).
