(2,169 posts)you're not criticizing what you haven't seen.
Invest an hour in researching the biggest crime to ever happen to the US?
Who could imagine doing that. Stick with soundbites and ridicule.

(3,829 posts)so it's a waste of time to watch the usual nonsense.

(13,382 posts)No need for me to. All you'd have to do is show evidence to counter the video's claims but of course you can't. Authoritarian anti-truthers aren't worth the time to argue with because they're not interested in other views or evidence.

(11,040 posts)... that you don't need to be inside or immediately next to a building to hear demolition explosives. I can show you plenty of evidence that virtually all videos of actual demolitions capture those distinctive sounds. Furthermore, I can explain to you in very few words why that should be expected from explosives powerful enough to cut through heavy steel columns: because an explosion is a pressure wave and a pressure wave IS a sound. If any of the buildings were destroyed by explosives, everyone in Manhattan would have known it. No, this video does not defend its bullshit, and neither do you, because it's indefensible.
This is why the "truth movement" died, wildbill.

(13,382 posts)your bullshit is indefensible Will & that's why you're in the minority here.
"This is why the "truth movement" died"
I've been hearing that for more than a decade now.
And as times passes, more and more people wake up to the official fairy tale.

(11,040 posts)It's called "attrition" and the suggestion that there's any "movement" left is pretty laughable. Out in the real world, it's novelty has worn off and it's hardly even mentioned except the occasional joke.

(11,040 posts)... Gage will have 1% of the architects and engineers in the world in about 50 years. Oh wait... at some point, the death rate will catch up with the signup rate -- he'll never make it.
If Gage could find at least one engineer who could come up with valid technical arguments, he wouldn't need to worry about signatures. I think it's pretty obvious why he hasn't been able to do that and instead needs to rely on extremely dishonest propaganda to get a few signatures.

(13,382 posts)all that's needed is to make the public realize they've been lied to about 911. Doesn't even need to be a majority of the public. That's already happened. You'll never change that or even slow it down as you do monitor this board for the next 50 years.

And um yes, it was well worth the hour and 9 minutes I spent watching it.

(13,382 posts)more speculation by authoritarians who weren't even there! Thanks again. Surely they would know better that the actual people on the scene! And you actually call their guesses facts!

(11,040 posts)It's not "speculation" to show how "truthers" take statements out of context. How many of "the actual people on the scene" are "truthers" today, wildbill? Apparently, it's very, very close to zero, or they're all unusually shy "truthers."

(11,040 posts)If you or wildbill claim that any of the people in that video believe WTC was a controlled demolition, as the video tries to imply, that's your claim to prove, not mine to disprove. My "apparently" qualification is based on never having seen one, despite many years of digging through "truther" bullshit, although one would expect "truthers" to be touting it as loudly as possible if there were any. (This is not to say that it would actually prove anything about CD if there were any, of course, which is the logical fallacy underlying the video in the first place.)
"If you or wildbill claim that any of the people in that video believe WTC was a controlled demolition"
Well, we didn't. Now, unless you're able to prove you can read minds, your attempt to say that you know what those people think is worthless.
William Seger
(11,040 posts)"Apparently, it's very, very close to zero, or they're all unusually shy 'truthers.'"
To protect their controlled demolition fantasies, "truthers" force themselves to ignore that if it were a CD, virtually everyone in Manhattan would have absolutely no doubt about it, and neither would we. Watch a few CD videos and you might get a clue why. (Hint: There are no sounds remotely similar to the distinctive sound of cutter charges immediately before the collapses on any WTC videos, even though any one of those buildings would have been much larger than any known CD. Nor are there any delayed remote action explosives that could, for example, go off in the basement and then have the building collapse an hour-and-a-half later up where the plane hit, but wildbill treats us to that abject bullshit every few months. If your theory depends on magic explosives, that should be clue that maybe there's something wrong with it. And BTW, anyone honestly searching for truth should appreciate efforts to weed out the bullshit, not look desperately for excuses to ignore obvious bullshit.)
