Article in NY Times predicted Kennedy's assassination almost two months before it happened

Despite the claims that relations with the agency were only momentarily strained by the embarrassment to the U.S. government and the CIA due to the failed invasion, withheld intelligence and a general atmosphere of distrust led to the Kennedy brothers firing Allen Dulles, Richard M. Bissell and Charles P. Cabell in November 1961. Allen Dulles, who had been the head of the CIA was replaced by John McCone.[12] After the assassination Dulles lobbied hard to be part of the investigation.[13][14]

A particularly noteworthy article concerning Kennedy's relationship to the CIA was written by journalist Arthur Krock, published in the New York Times on Oct 3, 1963. The article, titled "The Intra-Administration War in Vietnam", quoted a high-ranking official in the government as saying "The CIA's growth was 'likened to a malignancy" which the "very high official was not even sure the White House could control...any longer." "If the United States ever experiences (an attempt at a coup to overthrow the government) it will come from the CIA and not the Pentagon." The "agency represents a tremendous power and total unaccountability to anyone."

1. Yet another amazing one in a billion coincidence
Fri Jun 8, 2012, 09:49 AM

George de Mohrenschildt, former CIA operative, was found dead of a shotgun blast to the head just days before he was to testify before the House Select Committee on Assassinations. His death was immediately ruled to be a 'suicide' by the coroner (if you can believe that).

Weeks before his convenient death, de Mohrenschildt authored a manuscript called "I am a patsy! I am a patsy!" In it he exonerates Oswald while naming names of various CIA and FBI personnel who framed Oswald to cover their tracks in JFK’s assassination. Conveniently enough for those agents, de Mohrenschildt didn't live long enough to testify against them. Golly gee, what are the chances?

Gee, where's the rest of the gang? Guess the missing didn't think Z and B needed any backup--well, in this instance they figured correctly cuz your remarks didn't bring in the support they so richly deserve. Harvey Oswald, lone gunman! Who believes such crap?

Just as in 911, 9 box cutter carrying cut-ups shored up by kidney diseased ridden Superman, OBL, from an Afghanistani cave foiled all the resources of super power, the U.S.A, including in part, the Prez, the vice-pres, the SofS, the SofD, the CIA, the FBI, NATO, the Generals, and multi-multi trillions worth of defense armaments and complicated systems designed to defend the powerful USA the highly honed, trained, practiced, sophisticated systems designed to protect presidents just upped and died on those two fateful days. We should be damn thankful that China or India or Russia wasn't feeling their oats on 911.

As corrupt as I see the governments of the US and their coalition of the willing, I'll take these devils any day. But, we make a huge mistake when we don't face up to the many problems inherent in our governments these days.

Those who've been brainwashed are destined to live out their lives........brainwashed..........But then again, it's good that the USA and its powerful media tools have semi-managed to semi--reach their goals in the brainwashing domain. Small victory for the government after the events, though==well, sort'f.

You yourself just admitted a coup can be carried out in many ways.

Familiarize yourself with the technique of cold reading. Once you understand how that works, you'll see that's what you are doing to yourself. The quote is far too vague to make the kind of specific claim you are making.

That in fact facilitates a broad range of the dead president's preferred policies getting through Congress.

Or are you saying LBJ was one of the ringleaders in this coup d'etat?

that's a good one. thanks for the laugh.

Johnson and Kennedy may have been in the same party, but couldn't have been more at odds with each other when it came to foreign policy, and other issues particularly in regard to SE Asia. One was a dove, the other a hawk.

oh and FYI, RFK wasn't left in power of anything because they murdered him too.

So are you going to say you think LBJ did it or not?

Because LBJ leaving Bobby the Attorney General, i.e., in power is an interesting way for him to have acted when leading a coup d'etat. Or was Bobby in on it as well?

they didn't have to kill Bobby at that time, they simply had to sideline his office altogether by setting up a faux kangaroo 'court' known as the Warren commission. so he would be no potential threat to them at all as AG because he played no role in prosecuting the case of his brother's murder. but they did kill Oswald. which makes it really hard to prosecute a case when the only 'suspect' is dead. there never was a proper trial for his brother's murder, they made damn sure of that. but there was a farce known as the Warren Commission, which Bobby played no part of anyway. so your shaky theory doesn't hold up under the slightest scrutiny.

it was only when Robert Kennedy ran for President and vowed to follow his deceased brother's policies that he became a huge threat to them, so they had him killed.

American combat troops were dispatched to Vietnam; military expenditures were increased to levels that hadn't been seen since WWII (and this keeping in mind that the period 1961-63 was peacetime); and he and his brother spent an inordinate amount of time scheming and cooking up ways to knock off Fidel Castro.

The Trade Mart speech that he was to give that day in Dallas was little more than one long ongoing crowing about how much he - JFK - had increased military spending during the previous years.

Facts: it's best not to start typing on a discussion board without them.

"If the United States ever experiences (an attempt at a coup to overthrow the government) it will come from the CIA and not the Pentagon."

It kinda sounds like they were referencing the popular movie Seven Days in May, which had come out just a year before. Still, the read-in of a coup into that quote is the only thing that makes this a "prediction" of any sort. How do we know that, instead of a "coup." the source wasn't actually talking about a "leak" or a "critical report to Congress" coming from the CIA? I think calling this a prediction is a bit of a stretch.
