Deadly fluoride spill in Kentucky threatens nearby communities
Tuesday, November 13, 2012 by: PF Louis

(NaturalNews) Attend any city council or other government agency deciding on whether or not to fluoridate your local water supply, and you'll get health officials asserting that fluoride is natural, and thus safe.

They don't bother to mention that naturally occurring fluoride is calcium fluoride, while the stuff purchased by communities to fluoridate their water is sodium fluoride, an extremely toxic mix of hexafluorosilicic acid and sodium silicofluoride.

Some time ago, residents and farmers in nearby locations from phosphate and aluminum factories were getting sick while crops and animals were dying from the toxic sodium fluoride gases emitted from the smokestacks of those industrial plants.

The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) forced American phosphate and aluminum industries to stop spewing fluoride gases out of their smokestacks during their manufacturing processes by installing "scrubbers" in their smokestacks. Then the gases could be collected as solid materials.

Not sure if this is the right place for this as fluoridated water is some what a CT, but I'm not sure it is truly CT enough to belong here. Being new and all, I decided to play it safe.

I got interested in this topic after my daughter barfed right after getting her teeth cleaned and having a generous finger full of the stuff rubbed on her teeth, and not rinsing. Poor kid.

....to Zappaman's and Jberryhill's flip replies, you might be interested to know that a recent Harvard meta-analysis of 27 studies conducted over 22 years did correctly correlate fluoridated drinking water intake with lower I.Q. (and other problems):

Which explains many things.

Avoid it.

inant level allowed in drinking water in the US. 4-11x the amount we intentionally put in the water, and in some cases 3-4x the maximum amount at which the EPA tells people to stop drinking the water.

One of the studies that showed the worst IQ rates had 1134x the maximum amount any US utility places in the water.

(1361 milligrams per liter, versus our intentional additive at 1.2 milligrams per liter)

At those dosages, I’m shocked there might be adverse side effects. Shocked, I tell you. ‘Dosage’. It’s a thing. Who knew?

...."Unsafe at any dosage."

One of the studies showing lowered IQ compared 0.8 milligrams per liter (mg/L) to levels of only .34 mg/L. Neither one of these is over the EPA's contiminant level of 4 mg/L. and the higher rate is barely more than what Wichita proposes adding to their water.

But...go for it, dude. Drink it up. Get your daily dose of neurotoxin. Make sure your baby gets some bathwater. Best of all you can save some for later since it accumulates in your glands and tissue. And it helps you absorb more neurotoxins such as manganese.

Fill 'er up and cheers! You're buying the next round.

We don't have fluoride in our water here, so we use oral drops.

Kids are about a tenth the body waight of an adult and tend to drink more watter then an adult. So how do you monitor dosage? Combine that with floride tooth paste which kids swallow no matter how many times you tell em to spit, fliride floss. I just hate the way that when I try to ask a logical question I get called a ct nut.

A glass of white grape juice has anywhere from 4.5-6x the same volume of any public tap water in the US. Some of our foods (Mostly fruit juices) contain it either naturally, or as a result of spraying crops with fertilizer. So it is difficult to manage dosage. White striation or streaking on teeth isn't terribly unusual, probably for this reason. I don't believe the FDA currently regulates for this. They should.

Fluoride itself certainly isn't a bad thing, but TOO MUCH of it, most definitely is.

13. calcium fluoride, or silica fluoride?

I understand that natural news is not a "credible news site" but what about the point that the op brings up?

I would guess that the naturally occurring fluoride found in juices is a bit different then the silica fluoride that you get from smoke stack scrubbers. (For those that didn't read the article you can probably guess which type of fluoride is dumped into the water supply.

So because of the un trustworthy source of this info, further research would be required to determine the source and composition of the "fluoride" in drinking water. I would also like to know what type of fluoride is in tooth paste and other products.

I think it's a big deal if the fda or who ever is supposed to be in charge is recommending one type of fluoride, and another type is used because of its availability.

Both can be byproducts of manufacturing process and power generation plants. None of the sources that call out the silicon fluoride as a 'problem' have ever compared any of the rates of IQ, or other 'problems' they claim between areas of the US that are naturally fluoridated, or artificially with either type of fluoride.

.....totally unnecessary distraction. Its efficacy is based upon it being disruptive to the bacteria in your mouth and re-mineralizing teeth but you're just treating a symptom. If your diet is in order then your saliva is in order and you don't have tooth decay. Numerous studies among native peoples from Alaska to Switzerland have shown that nutrient-rich organic diets produce very little tooth decay. Modern diets tend to reduce calcium and phosphate levels & intake amongst other activities and that's where the bad saliva comes into play.

If you want to quickly go after the problem, swap all your sugar & aspartame for xylitol (your body actually produces it in very small amounts), an alcohol-based sugar. It has something like 40% fewer calories, uses a ton less insulin, helps prevent ear infections and even re-mineralizes teeth.
