5 Reasons Immortality Would be Worse than Death

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Bolo Boffin (a host of the Creative Speculation group).

f you're reading this, congratulations on having achieved the primary goal with which we begin each day: You have avoided death.

We're big on this idea of not dying. We love stories of immortal vampires and invincible superheroes, each of us wishing on some level that was us. If we didn't have to worry about death, we could finally get shit done.

But could we? If you take a moment to think about it, you realize immortality is grossly overrated.

This might make history. Has a post ever moved from the dungeon to General discussion?

The Admins "may" have that ability, I am not sure but Hosts definitly do not have it and as far as I know are not getting it. The only option for posts that do not fit in a group is to lock them and (if the Host is nice) let the poster know where it would be better suited.

Once you've accomplished your developmental tasks, they get boring. Unless you really twist yourself up as an addict, you can't keep enjoying the same childish stuff forever, and it eventually all comes to seem childish. It's time to sit back in that hammock and wait to go home.

...
You can throw all my tranquil pills away
Let my blood pressure go on its way...

...
Let those "I don't care" days begin
I'm tired of holding my stomach in...

...Hang me a hammock 'tween two big trees
Leave me alone, damn it, let me do as I please
'Cause my autumn's done come.
My autumn's done come, done come.

While this is a fun topic to explore, it would be better done in the Lounge or Soapbox. This group is for the serious discussion of alternate explanations of historical and present events without going overboard. Please feel free to restart the topic in another forum or group.
