A transgender Instagram influencer outed gay men in Morocco, making them targets for discrimination, family alienation, and violence. One of the men she outed just died by suicide.

But she’s unapologetic. “I feel bad for those f****ts but I don’t care,” she said.

Naoufal Moussa is a Moroccan transgender woman who lives in Turkey and who goes by “Sofia Talouni” online, posting videos for her over 600,000 followers.

In an Instagram Live video last Monday, Moussa told her followers how to download apps like Planet Romeo, Hornet, and Grindr to find gay men who live in their area. She showed people how to search for the apps online, install them, and create fake profiles to out gay and bi men.

“Don’t think that you deleted my account,” she said in a video after her first account was deleted. “That was international organizations. You… you’re just little Moroccan f****ts. No one cares about you.”

“Personally, if I ever find out that Morocco recognizes homosexuality, I’m the first one that’s going to stand up,” she said in another video. “We shouldn’t recognize homosexuality. We are an Islamic country.”

“In all honesty, I did not want to out them, but they started this war,” she quips. “The Moroccan gay community shared my profile on many Facebook groups and were encouraging people to report me so that my account gets deactivated.”

She adds, “They were outing me, out of jealously, because I am successful on various social media platforms and Moroccans started sympathizing with me. They put my life at risk.”

Taloni says that she “feels bad” for outed LGBTQ people who were just “living their lives normally” and “did nothing against me,” but “the other ones that reported me, I have no regrets whatsoever.”
