Tomi Lahren tried to use Pride to attack lockdown supporters. LGBTQ people weren't having it.
Right-wing pundit Tomi Lahren has made her career being generally wrong on most issues. She regularly gets facts wrong, dabbles in conspiracy theories, and, of course, cheerleads for President Donald Trump at every opportunity.
But after she tried to condemn LGBTQ supporters of the coronavirus pandemic lockdown, the community quickly schooled the clueless commentator on how ridiculous her claim was.
“To the pro-eternal shutdown cheerleaders, when your favorite government pals start canceling pride parades, we better not hear a peep out of you!!!” Lahren tweeted.
Except for a few smaller Pride events held late in the year, most Pride events have either been canceled or postponed. Several events that were originally delayed, have been called off completely.
The responses were fast and furious. People reminded her that “government pals” wouldn’t shut down Pride festivals since organizers already have.
