Starbucks has banned Pride decorations in its stores halfway through Pride Month, the companys workers union claimed Tuesday, in a stunning cave to far-right anti-LGBTQ fury.
There has been a wave of ultra-conservative pushback against companies that express support for equal rights. It started when Bud Light did a campaign with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney in March, but things really kicked off when Target displayed its Pride swimwear collection. Target said it would pull back its Pride merchandise in response to the outcry. Starbucks is the latest to fall.
For the last two weeks, Starbucks workers have taken to social media to report that the company is no longer allowing Pride decorations in-store, the Starbucks workers union tweeted.

Starbucks in NYC caving to the RW seems implausible, but the story is a data point.
We'll see.

This is taken directly from the LinkedIn corporate page and was posted 4 days ago. While I dont deny what youre saying is true. When was this policy put into place, who authorized the policy change, and how was the change pushed out to stores?
As you say, well see.
If true it seems crazy to me that Starbucks would do this.

Have family working there and she was told to take off her Pride accessories. We called corporate on this and was told, "We'll look into it and it was wrong decision".
We'll see what happens.

A good thing the union is on top of it.
That was a positive message from corporate, hope they follow thru.
