A Republican congressman from Minnesota made several anti-feminist remarks during radio interviews that have been unearthed, including one about it being unfair that people can't call women "sluts" anymore, CNN reported Thursday. Rep. Jason Lewis repeatedly insulted and demeaned women while he hosted a syndicated radio show from 2009 to 2014, CNN’s KFILE uncovered after listening to more than 15 months of audio from the “Jason Lewis Show.” Lewis, known on his show as "America's Mr. Right," said that women who vote based on health care that covers birth control lack "cognitive function," and suggested they were not "human beings."
The congressman won his House seat in 2016, even after some of the misogynistic comments surfaced.
Most of the comments from Lewis that were cited by CNN were in relation to Sandra Fluke, who came to national fame in 2012 when conservative radio show host Rush Limbaugh called her a “slut” and a “prostitute” due to her support for the Affordable Care Act. Fluke has been vocal about the importance of funding for family planning and contraception.
"It used to be that women were held to a little bit of a higher standard," Lewis said in a 2012 episode of his show. "We required modesty from women. Now, are we beyond those days where a woman can behave as a slut, but you can't call her a slut?" He also called young female voters "ignorant of the important issues in life.” He defended his verbal jabs that year by saying, "I'm married to a woman for heaven's sake.”

Not long ago, more than a few male DUers responded with
incredulity and indignation when a woman called the legitimacy of the word "slut" into question, noting it's use as a slur predicated on the Double Standard....
'No such as a slut?!?.."Well, of course there is"!
