On October 2, we’re going to send the Supreme Court and lawmakers across the country a clear, unified message. The attack on our reproductive rights will not be tolerated.

Abortion has never been fully accessible, but we are at the risk of losing our reproductive freedom completely. The call to action is clear, and urgent. The relentless attacks from Texas to Mississippi are ramping up quickly. Anti-choice extremists have a deep desire to return to a time when there was more clear and effective domination and control over queer and trans folks, women, and people of color; they want to revive those old values and societal norms to the point of re-acceptance. The authoritarian agenda of reproductive control is fueled by misogyny and racism - and we must challenge it, together.

On October 2, we're marching in every single state ahead of the Supreme Court reconvening on October 4. Women's March and more than 90 other organizations, including National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health, Planned Parenthood, SHERO Mississippi, Mississippi in Action, Access Reproductive Care-Southeast, The Frontline, Working Families Party, and SisterSong, are organizing a national call to mobilize and defend our reproductive rights.

The first Women's March 2017 was the largest protest in our History. Let's make this one even bigger.

First, I went over to the March page; I've never seen anything so hard to glean pertinent info from. Maybe it's just because I'm getting so much older. Put in my zip, found --something-- that supposedly was happening in my zip area (looks to be sister city next door). Great, right?! Well... not so much. Never was able to pull ANYTHING up in the right hand column that delineated WHAT it was. When I tried it out on KCKS, I did pull up the usual KCMO stuff. So, that's when I went over to my FB page and set to writing... and (as amended a bit below... I just feel so antsy and passionate about this.)

Is there anyone in our group going to a Women's March on Oct 2nd? Supposedly there's something happening around here by the look of the map, but there's nothing when you try to pull it up by event... of course. I've never so desperately wanted to attend something I feel is as important as this march. It's the way I felt back when I was 17 and 18, only in reverse. Then, it was within our grasp and I was afraid it was going to slip away.

This time, it is being ripped away from us, along with several other rights and liberties. If a stand isn't taken now, sisters, we're going to find ourselves in a place similar to what our urban Afghan sisters are experiencing.

Many of us don't have to worry about the abortion aspect any longer. But what about our daughters and granddaughters? For that matter... what about our sons and grandsons? Although the laws are being written to punish the women and make them the scapegoats, and there will be maternal deaths; but just how many girls' fathers are just going to let the boys get off scot-free? How many will be like the father who found the pastor pleasuring himself with the youngster in the restaurant, who beat the crap out the pastor and THEN called the cops, and then went BACK to beating the crap out the of the pastor until the cops got there?

These laws are horrible no matter which way you cut them. How many doctors or nurses or Uber drivers can afford 10k judgements against them by private citizens? And how can we afford the further breakdown of civilized society by making ordinary "christianists" into further "nazi-busybodies" who are determined that everybody MUST adhere to THEIR religion and ONLY their religion -- your own religious path be damned? And HOW did we come to have a law based on a single religion, anyway? It's blatantly UNCONSTITUTIONAL! MY religion is just as valid as your religion or his religion! For that matter, most of the Founders weren't even Christians! They were Deists!

If there are any who are as passionate as I am about this, please meet me somewhere I can get to, or pick me up. I will proudly march with you. Trust me, I'll bring my cane as well as a sign or two! Further, I put out a call to all my Sibs -- Brothers and Sisters... find a march and stand up for the Goddess within all of us! Remember, All acts of love and pleasure are Hers; and neither does She demand the sacrifice of Her living Children! We live within our own version of the burning times. The torches must be extinguished against those who fight against all with wombs, or who are outside what they consider "normal." I've got news for them; I'll put myself next to any "freak" rather than anyone they claim as "normal," and feel safer, more secure, and more loved any day of the week!

Didn't think I'd ever put this in one sentence, but "Hail Goddess! Hail Temple of Satan!" (politics sure makes strange bedfellows!)
